As the peak of Coronavirus struck and the restrictions of lockdown tightened, it was easy to think about the things we couldn’t do and the people we couldn’t see. However, rather than dwelling on matters beyond our control, I decided to base one of my final year projects on how to keep positive during a pandemic.
The pandemic has turned our lives upside down but it’s important to keep looking at the positives through all the confusion and disruption. I was asked to write a short piece for my local village newsletter, summarising how life as a final year university student has been affected in recent weeks. The letter contains thoughts and tips on how to survive a pandemic and has been written as though I was able to advise myself what to do seven weeks ago, before the lockdown began.
After spending the last year saving up my pennies and pounds, I was able to go on an adventure of a lifetime to explore a country I have wanted to visit for as long as I can remember, Canada.
